Why do good things come to an end???

It's a complaint we've been making perennially..."All good things come to an end "

Let's think of all the times we said...How beautiful was my childhood,how nice was my college life??and so on...All those times we felt like running away from the present & cling on to the past..be it childhood, school life or college life...Ever thought why good things come to an end??

Let's consider a hypothetical case-We are given a chance to go backwards...Rewinding the time machine ..so to say!!Would we really want to go back and become a toddler..If you ask me..I would'nt.Who would want to carry those super heavy luggages (school bag is what they call it !!), do that boring homework & sit for those lectures...It was a beautiful phase ,no doubt...but I had my share of it...I may feel jealous of the carefree life those kids enjoy...but...I am in love with mine as well!!!

Yes..I am in love with my life...there is a certain charm to it.The charm of growing up..shouldering more responsibilities ,taking your own decisions...and enjoying your success...learning from failures...meeting new people ...people who enrich our lives & leave a mark...& most importantly..being capable of doing something for people you love...of buying something for my parents with my hard earned money ,taking my sis for a movie..

I may have fewer friends now than I had in school ,but the bonding is far more stronger...lifelong bondings...lifelong relationships!!!That is because I understand friendship better now,I understand what friends are...how precious they are...One of those precious learnings life gave me...one of the finest feelings life gave me...as I grew..as I changed...

Is'nt this all reason enough to be happy about...Then why do we want a carefree life...No I dont want it...I am happy with mine...

I know it will change...& then I will remember this life...the good things it entails...but I am sure there is something better instore...It's a matter of time before I discover it..

I agree that All good things come to an end...they do & they are destined to ...Believe me ...it's in our favour...why??

Happy Woman's Day???

I ve been receiving several messages today...asking me to feel proud that I am a woman ,because of several reasons...Every message ends with the words Happy Woman's Day...

I am confused...I was taught grammar in school but still I fail to understand which is the noun that the adjective happy is qualifying...day or woman...Well logic says its the former but I wish it is the latter...I would rather prefer that the woman is happy not the day!!!

After having known this custom for several years now I fail to understand what 8th March signifies...A woman's day...International woman's day or a HAPPY WOMAN's DAY!!!Why is it that we celebrate this date..There may be a story attached but still...

Lets see...What will a HAPPY WOMAN's DAY be like...A day when every woman is happy???A day when she is free from the kitchen chores & does whatever she feels like..Will it be a day when each girl gets her right to education...her right to independence...her right to choose how & when she wants to play the different roles of daughter ,wife,sister ,mother ,daughter in law...

A day when every woman is empowered through education to lead a life she wants..she dreams of..she is HAPPY to live Yes this is a HAPPY WOMAN's DAY!!!

She may not be revered ,but atleast respected...People may not worship her ...but atleast be well behaved with her...She may not get any devotee but atleast dignity...Thats all she wants...thats all she needs...

When she gets that...it will not be a HAPPY WOMANS DAY....but a HAPPY WOMANS LIFE...

But I am still confused...why is it that we are wishing each other today??Who is happy -the DAY or the WOMAN???
